It’s been a minute since we turned our attention to election results, but we’re back at it today (Tuesday) as there are a handful of races in Wisconsin and Florida that could have a significant impact on the country’s direction.
At stake are two U.S. House seats in Florida, open as a result of the departures of former Reps. Matt Gaetz (CD-1) and now-National Security Advisor Mike Waltz (CD-6). The race for CD-1 features Democrat Gay Valimont and Republican Jimmy Patronis (currently Florida’s Chief Financial Officer). Gaetz won (retained) the seat in November 2024 by 32 points (over Valimont), and President Donald Trump won the district by 37 points.
In CD-6, it’s Democrat Joshua Weil facing off against Republican Randy Fine, who was a state senator until his resignation from that seat on Monday. Waltz won the seat in November by 33 points, and Trump won…
