In one of the best examples of “sleep in the bed you made” moments you’ll ever see, Star Wars actor and voice of the Joker, Mark Hamill, decided to promote his new film on Bluesky. The only trouble is that this particular film involves the celebration of Jesus Christ, and Bluesky is a place where you won’t find a lot of Jesus fans.
Hamill plays King Herod in the new King of Kings movie, which revolves around the telling of the life of Christ through the words of Charles Dickens. The film is already doing phenomenally in theaters, and was on course to shatter records from its pre-sale tickets alone.
The film has been very well-received, with a 97 percent audience rating from Rotten Tomatoes. According to my colleague Katie Jerkovich, the film has had the best opening ever for an animated Biblical movie, including The Prince of Egypt.
