It was just a little over a year ago that we first heard of IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, who came forward to expose irregularities in the agency’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s unfiled and delinquent tax returns. Not long after Shapley sat for an on-the-record interview with the House Ways and Means Committee, he and fellow whistleblower Joseph Zeigler formally testified before the Oversight Committee.
Just a few days later, Delaware U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika raised questions about the “sweetheart plea deal” on tax and gun charges that Hunter and his father’s Department of Justice were on the brink of finalizing — a deal that would have given the First Son global immunity.
