Multiple people were shot on Friday when an apparent dispute unfolded adjacent to the Philadelphia Eagles’ celebratory parade following their decisive victory at Super Bowl LIX.
The shooting comes just one year after a shooting also disrupted the Kansas City Chiefs’ parade, killing one and injuring more than a dozen.
Steve Keeley, reporter for the local FOX affiliate, shared details he learned from police in a short thread posted to X.
“SHOOTING near @Eagles celebration along Ben Franklin Parkway. Happened at 2:36pm after a fight when @PhillyPolice Deputy Commissioner @PPDFrankVanore tells me ‘Victim #1, a 27 year old woman & her boyfriend tried to cut through the crowd to the Porto-potties,’” he said.
