As the world responds to President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs, the president vowed on Friday to never change his policies.
Trump rolled out his so-called reciprocal tariffs on Wednesday, levying hefty taxes on imports from nearly all of America’s biggest trading partners. The president argues that the United States has been ripped off by the rest of the world and that tariffs will allow American manufacturing and jobs to come roaring back.
In a post on Truth Social Friday morning, Trump wrote, “TO THE MANY INVESTORS COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES AND INVESTING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MONEY, MY POLICIES WILL NEVER CHANGE.”
“THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO GET RICH, RICHER THAN EVER BEFORE!!!” he added.
