Joe Biden made remarks from his vacation in St. Croix about the death of Jimmy Carter on Sunday night.
Biden stumbled through the remarks, although he seemed to be reading from a teleprompter. The remarks seemed to have been tailored to be similar to a formal statement that the White House released. But because it’s Joe Biden. he had to make it about himself, inserting things about how Beau had cancer too and how Carter was like his father who said “Joey, a job is about more than a paycheck.”

Exactly what did that have to do with Carter? It’s just something Biden says in virtually all his speeches about his father. It’s like he went into stump speech mode…
