A New Hampshire legislator gave a pro-abortion speech on the floor of the state’s House of Representatives, all while cradling her newborn child in her arms.
Just a week after giving birth to a baby girl, Democratic State Rep. Amanda Toll took time off her maternity leave to support an amendment making abortion a right on the grounds that she had previously had one herself:
It has been challenging, just a week past the birth of my daughter, to consider giving a floor speech. I stand here today as one of the millions of people who has had an abortion. When I was a teenager, I accessed abortion care that has allowed me to go to college, to graduate school, to receive an M.Ed., to teach, and to be a state representative.
