NFL Makes Plans To Move Rams-Vikings Playoffs Game Due To L.A. Fires

The NFL has announced that it has made plans, should such a move be necessary, to move the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings playoffs game to Arizona on Monday night due to the fires raging in southern California.

A statement from the National Football League on Thursday said that the wild-card playoff Vikings-Rams game is still currently scheduled to take place on Monday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California — but noted that the league has set up a contingency plan if the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, and Hurst Fire continue to rage. Those fires have already resulted in tens of thousands of evacuations in the area.

“The NFL’s priority is the safety of the Los Angeles community,” the statement read. “We are grateful for the tireless efforts of the first responders. Our hearts are with Los Angeles and everyone affected by the fires.
