Nigel Farage, leader of the Brexit effort and a member of the United Kingdom Parliament, predicted his country would follow the trend of the U.S. electorate and “make Britain great again.”
Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, on Thursday, Farage, the leader of the Reform UK Party, noted that the United States and the United Kingdom tend to follow each other’s trends.
“American trends we tend to follow. You have occasionally followed our trends. You gave us woke. We gave you Prince Harry. You keep him,” Farage said to laughter from the audience.
On a more serious matter, he compared the British vote to withdraw from the European Union in 2016 with Donald Trump’s victory that followed months later.
