The only good thing you can say about the address Kamala Harris gave to close out the Hollywood production of the Democratic National Convention is that it was mercifully short. Clocking in at 35 minutes and change, the speech was basically a slightly tweaked version of the same stump speech she’s been offering around the country for a month.
Harris spent a bit more time at the front end on her bio, which is peculiar being that she’s been the vice-president of the United States for the past four years. It’s not like anyone in the room or anyone watching on television or online doesn’t know who she is. It obviously played up the endearing parts, left out the parts about her dad being a Marxist professor, and the wake of debris and destruction that followed whatever public job she held.
