Was Symone Sanders Townsend woefully misinformed—or was she intentionally trampling the truth?
On Saturday’s edition of MSNBC’s The Weekend which she co-anchors, Sanders Townsend said:
“In his remarks during his inauguration, [Trump] promised American carnage. He is now making — he tried to make good on that promise throughout his presidency, on January 6th after he lost. And now, if he is afforded another term by the American people, he is going to triple down on that. “
Sanders Townsend then asked: “Am I making it up?”
Answer: Yes, Symone: you were making it up.
Because what Trump actually said during his “remarks during his inauguration” [otherwise known as his Inaugural Address], was the absolute, diametrical, total and complete OPPOSITE of what you claimed!
Rather than “promising” American carnage, Trump promised to “stop” the carnage–“right here…
