NPR CEO Says Trump Defunding Order a Violation of First Amendment Rights – RedState

As my colleague Rusty Weiss reported, President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday to defund public broadcasting stations PBS and NPR from taxpayer subsidies. As Weiss wrote, this amounts to roughly $535 million that Congress allocated to public broadcasters in the current fiscal year, and any funding that has been appropriated through Sept. 30, 2027.





Not taking this lying down, NPR CEO Katherine Maher issued a press release decrying Trump’s actions.
