Pakistan Launches Air and Artillery Attacks on Targets in Iran in Response to Iranian Missile Attack – RedState

Pakistan carried out air and artillery strikes on targets inside Iran Thursday. According to Iranian state media, at least nine people were killed. This attack targeted Balochi separatists in seven locations and involved “drones, rockets, loitering munitions and standoff weapons,” and was in response to an Iranian missile attack inside Pakistan on Tuesday. 

Tuesday, Iran fired a missile at what it alleges was a Balochi separatist base in Pakistan. It gets confusing, but these are a different flavor of Balochi separatists that the Pakistanis claim they attacked.

There are a lot of moving parts here that aren’t terribly clear now but will be in the following weeks.

First, when the Iranian missile attack happened, Iran and Pakistan were holding joint naval exercises and appeared to have good relations.
