Late Friday afternoon Axios posted partial audio from the interview Special Counsel Robert Hur held with now-former President Joe Biden, and it’s brutal. As Axios wrote:
“Amid long, uncomfortable pauses, Joe Biden struggled to recall when his son died, when he left office as vice president, what year Donald Trump was elected or why he had classified documents he shouldn’t have had, according to audio Axios obtained of his October 2023 interviews with special counsel Robert Hur.”
The Axios piece was co-authored by Alex Thompson, who also co-authored the book “Original Sin” with Jake Tapper about Biden’s mental decline – a decline Thompson and Tapper ignored until it was profitable for them to acknowledge it.
