Oprah Winfrey will host an ABC special focusing on the popularity of Ozempic as a weight loss drug, which she has called a “personal topic” for her.
The 69-year-old billionaire TV personality — who has been open in the past about her weight loss struggles and has defended using the medication (which is intended as a treatment for Type 2 diabetes) to lose weight — will host “An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution” in front of a live studio audience, Access Hollywood reported.
“It is a very personal topic for me and for the hundreds of millions of people impacted around the globe who have for years struggled with weight and obesity,” Winfrey said in a statement.
