A photographer who was shoved to the ground by a frustrated Davante Adams Monday night has filed a police report, claiming he was the victim of assault.
Multiple cameras caught the incident as the Las Vegas Raiders receiver walked back to the locker room following a heartbreaking 30-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Authorities confirmed to TMZ Tuesday that the freelance photographer with ESPN has filed a police report after saying he was injured and treated at a hospital following the shove. The incident will be investigated by the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department.

Adams apologized for his outburst after the game during an interview and in a tweet.
“I want to apologize to some guy who was running off the field, and he ran, like jumped in front of me coming off the field and I bumped into him and kinda pushed him, and he ended up on the ground” Adams told reporters. “So I wanted to say sorry to him for that because that was frustration mixed with him literally just running in front of me.”

The star receiver who is playing in his first season with Las Vegas could also face a suspension from the NFL for his actions. The league announced it was reviewing the shoving incident, but did not say when a decision will be made on any discipline for Adams, Sports Illustrated reported.
Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels defended Adams following the shove and said he still did not know if the league would come down with a suspension.
“I support Davante wholeheartedly as a human being,” McDaniels said, according to ESPN. “As a person, he’s a great guy. I know that was an unfortunate situation. We obviously don’t want any of our guys to be doing anything like that. He knows that. He’s very well aware of that. But I know the person; I don’t think there was any intent behind it, on his part.”
Adams’ Raiders lost on a failed 4th down conversion attempt that ended in an incomplete pass after Adams and his teammate Hunter Renfrow collided on their routes. The former Green Bay Packer is coming off back-to-back 100-yard receiving games, and he added two touchdowns in his team’s loss to the Chiefs.
