Law enforcement officials in Colorado announced this week that they have closed the investigation into Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) after her ex-husband alleged that she punched him in the face at a restaurant last week.
Boebert’s ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, called police and claimed he was a “victim of domestic violence” and said that the congresswoman had “punched” him in the face several times at Miner’s Claim restaurant in Boebert’s district on Saturday, according to The Washington Post.
Silt Police said that when they arrived on the scene, Lauren Boebert was “cooperative with law enforcement” during their initial contact with her while her ex-husband “was highly intoxicated, yelling at officers, and was uncooperative with the investigation.”
