Police in Wisconsin shot and killed an armed teenager outside a middle school on Wednesday, according to a statement from school officials.
The Mount Horeb Area School District said that the assailant “did not breach entryway” at Mount Horeb Middle School and that there were “no reports of individuals being harmed, with the exception of the alleged assailant.”
“The threat has been neutralized outside of the building,” the statement said. “Law-enforcement is circulating throughout the middle school to confirm the safety of all students.”
A local ABC affiliate said that the suspect was a 14-year-old who approached the school with what appeared to be a long gun.
Bomb technicians were investigating the car that the suspect drove to the scene to see if there were explosives in it.
