Predictable: House of Representatives Votes Against Removing U.S. Troops From Somalia

On Thursday, the U.S. House of Representatives rejected a war powers resolution introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to remove all U.S. military personnel from Somalia. The bill, which would have directed President Joe Biden to order all troops to leave the country, except for the Marine Security Guards who protect the US Embassy in Mogadishu, was rejected with 321 members voting against the bill and 102 voting in favor.
