A previously deported illegal immigrant has been charged in Florida with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
Kevin Mauricio Escobar Munoz, 20, was arrested on Wednesday by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office for sexual assault and burglary with battery. According to police, Escobar Munoz broke into the 14-year-old victim’s home and then sexually assaulted her.
Escobar Munoz is an illegal immigrant from Honduras and was previously deported in September 2022. He is currently in Okaloosa County Jail with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer placed on him.
The girl was attacked back in April and investigators said they just matched DNA to Escobar Munoz.
“The victim told investigators that she awoke in her home located in Fort Walton Beach shortly before 7:00 a.m. on April 21st to a Hispanic male she did not know sexually assaulting her,” the sheriff’s office said in…
