Pro-Hamas protesters block bridges and tunnels in New York; somehow, they think this helps their cause
Monday morning, pro-Hamas protesters shut down three vital arterial roads in New York City: The Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Holland Tunnel. For some reason, they think these acts will make people more sympathetic to their cause.
Total Traffic reported the outbound lanes were closed around 10 a.m. during the end of the morning rush.
At least one lane of the Holland Tunnel has reopened, and traffic appears to be flowing again on the Brooklyn Bridge.
Video taken near the tunnel showed approximately two dozen people sitting down in the roadway, as officers set up metal barriers around them.
Another video showed a similar scene at the Brooklyn Bridge, where about the same number sat in the street there.
