A pro-Israel group of Democrats has entered the political arena with a strategic objective: to oust two prominent far-left “Squad” members from their congressional seats. On Wednesday, the Democratic Majority for Israel PAC issued endorsements for George Latimer, challenging Rep. Jamaal Bowman in New York, and Wesley Bell, running against Rep. Cori Bush in Missouri, in the ongoing battle for influence within the Democratic Party amid factions emerging over the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza.
The decision to support challengers to “Squad” members stems from controversial comments made by the Representatives including Bowman calling reports of Israeli women being raped by Hamas terrorists “propaganda,” and Bush accusing Israel of ethnic cleansing and war crimes against Palestinians.
