Chef Andrew Gruel is not only a fantastic restaurateur, but he also isn’t afraid to speak his mind, has a big following on X, and regularly appears on Fox News and “Gutfeld!” I know for a fact that his food is awesome because, during the dark days of COVID, my family and I would escape Los Angeles to the slightly more sane Orange County to eat at his restaurant. It was a much-needed relief from the prison that was LA at that time.
More recently, my family and I went down to his new eatery in Huntington Beach, Calico Fish House, and I can report that the food was off the charts and Andrew and his wife Lauren are terrific people.
They’re proving that right now as they’re doing everything they can to help those in need as the Los Angeles-area wildfires continue to decimate the City of Angels.
