Roseanne Barr Working On New Sitcom About A Family That Will ‘Save America…’

Comedian Roseanne Barr revealed she’s working on shopping a sitcom to Hollywood she wrote that centers on a family that “save America with guns, the Bible, petty crime and alcoholism.”

Speaking to Variety about her latest project, the 72-year-old actress said the new sitcom, which she and “Roseanne” alum Allan Stephan wrote, is a “a cross between ‘The Roseanne Show’ and ‘The Sopranos.’” It centers on the family of an Alabama farmer who’s “saving the United States from drug gangs and China.” 

“It’s silly and out there,” Barr said. “[It will contain] very offensive ideas and a lot of swearing. I live with my daughter and her husband and their six children on a farm.”
