As we previously reported, the Senate’s so-called “bipartisan,” so-called “border security” bill was finally released on Sunday.
Despite protestations to the contrary from Republican Sen. James Lankford (Okla.), one of the bill’s architects, the proposed legislation turns out to be just as disastrous as its Republican opponents predicted it would be, including a provision that the “border emergency authority” doesn’t even kick in until 5,000 illegal aliens have crossed into the country — daily. For those of you keeping score at home, that’s 1.8 million illegals a year before the so-called “automatic deportation” provision activates.
