The left is continuing to flip out at Elon Musk because they believe that he’s helped contribute to President Donald Trump’s coalition, and they want to break that up to weaken Trump.
Some of the media parroted this “President Musk” thing the Democrats were trying to spread in order to sow discord between the two men and taunt Trump. But Trump wasn’t biting, and neither was Musk. It was so dumb because it was so obvious why folks on the left and in the media were pushing it. It didn’t even make a lot of sense because Musk was named co-head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) exactly to cut waste and regulation by Trump. He has no power to get anything done without the approval of Trump and only within his DOGE capacity.
