It’s the left’s dirty little secret: Ever since the purely organic Tea Party movement among conservatives during the Obama administration, they have been green with envy, trying to figure out how to initiate one of their own. They have tried several times over several issues with no success. But now, they think they have hit paydirt in the backlash over Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Once again, with the help of the media, protesters in front of Tesla dealerships are portrayed as just a group of concerned Americans who want to make their voices heard. But as has been long suspected, nothing could be further from the truth.
Except the Tea Party was a movement devoted to cutting spending and shrinking the government.
