‘Second Gentleman’ Doug Emhoff Brings the Cringe to Georgia – RedState

Pretty much everyone these days is familiar with the concept of the “beta male.” Beta is the second letter in the Greek alphabet (Β/β), which implies the “beta male” is, to put it bluntly, second-rate. When I was a young man, we had less Greek, more coarse terms for such male specimens, but let’s just go with the beta male for now. The Urban Dictionary defines a beta male thusly:

A beta male is a man who lacks masculine energy and adopts feminine characteristics, often faces problems or confrontations passive aggressively. A beta male is often taken advantage due to his “nice guy” persona.
