It is rare to see a politician evolve from one who runs on being a far-left progressive into a common-sense moderate with moral clarity on some very important issues of the day.
That is what has happened with Senator John Fetterman (D-PA). When he ran for the Senate, he was the Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania and seemed to be a run-of-the-mill progressive. He came out for all the pet items on the Democrats’ agenda and received support from the likes of Bernie Sanders. Sanders and President Biden campaigned for Fetterman in Pennsylvania, supporting a candidate who had suffered a life-threatening stroke. The Republican candidate running against him, Dr. Oz, was a bad candidate who never should have been the Republican nominee. Fetterman won the election.
