There’s nothing worse than faux righteousness and plenty of it to go around in Washington. Politicians love to pretend they stand atop the moral high ground when in reality, they are just laughable hypocrites.
Enter Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse and Rep. Jamie Raskin as the dumb and dumber of that equation. Both men are pushing a ridiculous conspiracy theory involving Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, asserting that he’s an “insurrectionist” because he once flew an “Appeal to Heaven” flag over his beach house.
