Sidelined Since 2022 Stiff Person Syndrome Diagnosis, Celine Dion To Perform At Paris Olympics: Report

Celine Dion will reportedly perform during the opening ceremony on Friday at the Olympics in Paris, marking her first public performance in years amid her health battle with Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS) after being diagnosed in 2022.

The 56-year-old Grammy winner will return to the stage during the 2024 Summer Olympics kick-off where she will reportedly be paid $2 million for performing just one song, TMZ reported.

The “My Heart will Go On” hitmaker was spotted on Monday checking into the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris, with sources telling Page Six she will indeed sing at the ceremony.

In 2021, Dion stopped her Las Vegas residency and it wasn’t long after that she revealed she’d been dealing with the debilitating symptoms connected to the autoimmune neurological disorder, which she said started as early as 2008, the New York Post reported.
