Even before Trump won the election, I was privately telling friends and family members to expect violence should Trump win.
This was not a difficult prediction to make for obvious reasons–violence happened during his first term as the left went crazy, and Trump has been the object of so much hate that deranged people of the left have been trying to kill Trump and his allies. Bluesky has been filled with calls to kill Elon Musk, DOGE employees, and President Trump, and TikTok has had its shared of deranged people threatening all sorts of mayhem.
Even members of Congress have called for people to take to the streets–code for violence–just keeping to the legal side of the line of incitement. Example–one of many:
