House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) visited the U.S. southern border on Thursday, calling out President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris over their handling of illegal immigration.
In a visit to the San Ysidro Port of Entry in San Diego alongside Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), Johnson specifically went after the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and called for Congress to pass new legislation to safeguard elections from non-citizen voting. San Diego has been a hot spot for unlawful crossings in recent months, with tens of thousands of migrants crossing into California.
“This has become in many ways the epicenter of the Biden-Harris border catastrophe, and now we’re very concerned in Congress that this illegal immigrant invasion is threatening even the integrity of our elections,” Johnson said.
