Team Biden has begun its outreach to Never Trump Republicans earnestly. Five months out from the presidential election, Biden is tied with Trump in many national polls. In battleground states, Trump is up over Biden, except in Wisconsin, where he is tied with Biden.
On all the major issues, Trump beats Biden, usually in double digits. The two top issues, the economy and immigration/border security, are a disaster for Biden. Not even Trump’s criminal convictions in the hush money trial have moved the needle. Some polling shows Trump with a little bump in support after the Manhattan courthouse clown show was over.
