“The Chosen: The Last Supper” dropped an intense trailer for Season 5, and it has been revealed that the faith-based series, which tells the story of Jesus through those close to him, will premiere on Amazon Prime in June.
Season 5 takes place during Holy Week, centering on Jesus’ showdown with Pharisees at the Temple of Jerusalem and the betrayal of one of his disciples, Judas (played by Luke Dimyan), which will lead to his crucifixion.
“My house should be a house of prayer, but you make it a den of thieves!” Jesus (played by Jonathan Roumie) yells in the two-minute-plus clip.
