“The Chosen” dropped an emotional trailer for Season 4 on Monday about “the coming darkness” Jesus and his followers will be facing.
In the two-minute-plus trailer, fans of the show — which explores the life of Jesus through those who were closest to him — see a worried Jesus (played by Jonathan Roumie) and his followers upset. A voiceover throughout the clip speaks about the meaning of “darkness.”
There are various images in the trailer that will be familiar to those of faith, specifically a shot of Jesus and his followers standing in front of the tomb that would end up being where he was buried and eventually resurrected.
