The “swamp will be drained” if former President Donald Trump is re-elected to the White House for a second term, billionaire tech executive Elon Musk insisted on Sunday.
Musk responded to a post on X from journalist John Stossel critiquing how well the former president lived up to his pledge as a candidate in the 2016 election to cut government bureaucracy.
“Trump admits he failed to drain the Washington swamp. But, he insists, if you elect him this time, he’ll get it done. I doubt it. Government only grows,” Stossel said, along with a video.
“He doesn’t need to be reelected this time and many people, myself included, will help him reform government,” Musk replied. “The swamp will be drained.”
