‘The View’ Hosts Mock Herschel Walker, Suggest Maybe He Has Brain Damage

The hosts of ABC’s “The View” mocked U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker (R-GA) during Thursday’s broadcast, suggesting that perhaps he had brain damage.

The cohosts pivoted from complaining that people had criticized Senate candidate John Fetterman (D-PA) — who suffered a stroke in May – to joking about whether or not Walker had cognitive issues of his own.

The cohosts all defended Fetterman, arguing that it was the NBC anchor who had interviewed him — Dasha Burns — who had been the problem. Sunny Hostin argued that Burns should not have revealed anything that was said or the difficulties Fetterman appeared to be having with understanding their conversation during the pre-interview small talk — intimating that it may have even been off the record. She concluded by defending Fetterman’s use of closed captioning, saying that she often uses closed captioning to better understand confusing accents.

Joy pivots to Herschel Walker, lashing out and asking: “What makes the Republicans think that Herschel walker is coherent and he hasn’t had a stroke?”
“That’s a valid point,” Sunny declares. They then collectively laughed at the possibility that Walker had brain damage. pic.twitter.com/PCk9brD77l

Joy Behar made the pivot, saying, “I just wanted to add on the Fetterman conversation that what makes the Republicans think that Herschel Walker is coherent and he hasn’t had a stroke?”

“That’s a valid point,” cohost Sunny Hostin replied, and the audience and cohosts all began to laugh.

“I’m going to read to you what Herschel Walker said on climate change,” Behar continued. “He said, ‘We don’t control the air, our good air decided to float over to China’s bad air. So when China gets our good air, their bad air has got to move, so it moves over to our good air space, see?’ Okay …”

“That’s a very valid point,” Hostin said again.

“Okay, I get it now,” cohost Sara Haines replied.

“… about the good air and the bad air, okay, and they are backing him. Mitch McConnell is backing him, okay?” Behar continued, going on to repeat the false claim that former President Donald Trump had told people to inject themselves with bleach to cure COVID. “And also let us not forget that Donald Trump told us to inject bleach when we were suffering from COVID in large numbers. So, I mean, this is a ridiculous conversation …”
