‘The View’ Hosts Try To Shout Down Ted Cruz — Then Scold Him For Raising His Voice

The hosts of ABC’s “The View” repeatedly attempted to shout down their Monday guest — Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) — and then when he raised his voice in order to be heard above the cacophony, cohost Ana Navarro scolded him for “screaming” at them.

Cruz took a number of questions from the largely left-leaning cast when he joined Monday’s broadcast, and the ladies were quick to dispute every answer he gave — particularly when he dared to point out the fact that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was one of a large contingent of Democrats who had claimed certain elections won by Republicans had been “illegitimate.”

The show’s newest Republican cohost, Alyssa Farah Griffin, asked Cruz the Democrats’ pet question about January 6th: “How do you reconcile your Constitutional convictions with what happened on January 6th? … Was Biden legitimately elected because half the party thinks he wasn’t and it would be very powerful for you to tell the truth.”

“So, listen, Biden is the president today,” Cruz replied, immediately pivoting to call out media for demanding Republicans answer that question while giving a pass to Democrats who questioned election results.

“You don’t do it to Hillary Clinton, who stood up and said Trump stole the election,” Cruz said.

“She didn’t try to kill my former boss,” Griffin objected, but Cruz kept going: “They sat here and said it was illegitimate, and you guys were fine with that.”

“And it was,” Whoopi Goldberg interrupted, making Cruz’s point for him.

“So it’s illegitimate when Republicans win, but not when Democrats win,” Cruz pushed back.

“Here’s the thing,” Goldberg insisted, adding that she might not like watching Republicans win but arguing that Democrats didn’t get violent when they didn’t get their way.

“Whoopi, did I miss an entire year of Antifa riots?” Cruz asked. “Where cities across this country were burning … your position is the left doesn’t engage in violence, really?”

Cruz continued to push back, again mentioning Clinton and her refusal to accept Trump as the legitimate president. When Goldberg argued again, he pulled out a paper and began reading from a list of Democrats — including the January 6th Committee’s Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) — who had claimed that Republican-won elections were either “stolen” outright or “illegitimate” for other reasons.

The cohosts all began attempting to shout him down, at which point he raised his voice slightly and kept going.

“You just said we don’t scream at each other, right?” cohost Ana Navarro scolded, adding, “Or is it just you that gets to scream?”

“No, no, I agree,” Cruz immediately lowered his tone.

“Lower your voice, because we are very close to each other,” Navarro chastised. “I know you come here to sell a book and pick a fight, but we’re not gonna do that today.”

Cruz pushed back, telling Navarro to address the issue at hand.
