After weathering their own (self-inflicted) kick in the teeth compliments of President Joe Biden’s horrible debate performance on June 27, the subsequent meltdown over the state of his physical and mental health, and the stunning failed assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump on July 13 leading right into the Republican National Convention, the Democrats seemingly were floundering.
And then, the clouds parted, and out came their very own ray of sunshine: Vice President Kamala Harris. Never mind that her approval ratings to that point were lower than those of her feeble boss.
