Former vice presidential candidate Tim Walz suggests he was chosen to join Kamala Harris’ campaign because he could serve as a mediator for manly men who want to switch to the Democratic party.
Seriously.
The man derisively referred to by critics as “Tampon Tim” spoke at a forum on Monday night at Harvard Kennedy School, explaining that he was supposed to serve as a “code talker” for white guys who enjoy sports and trucks.
Yes, that Tim Walz.
Walz said he would argue that his inclusion on the failed ticket was “because we did a lot of amazing progressive things in Minnesota that improved people’s lives.”
“But I also was on the ticket, quite honestly, you know, because I could code talk to white guys watching football, fixing their truck … that I could put them at ease,” he added.
