Trans activist Dylan Mulvaney apparently had a meeting with President Joe Biden in the White House to discuss trans issues, among other things.
Mulvaney has been in headlines lately after an Ulta Beauty campaign was negatively received by the company’s mostly female fan base. The TikTok influencer boasts 8.3 million followers for the “Days of Girlhood” series, which documents Mulvaney’s “transition” experience.
In the latest installment, Mulvaney teases a White House interview which will allegedly be made public on Sunday.
“It’s day 222 of being a girl. I’m in Washington D.C., and I’m going to the White House to speak to the President of the United States,” Mulvaney gushes in the TikTok clip, which was filmed in a hotel room. The influencer is wearing a shirt that says, “Don’t mess with trans kids.”
“You know that phrase, ‘I think I may have girlbossed too close to the sun?’ Well that’s how I feel today,” Mulvaney continues. “Because I get to sit down with Joe Biden and NowThis News, and I get to ask him a few questions surrounding trans issues in the United States and talk to him about my transness, and I really just want to represent my community the best that I can.”
The social media star continued, “And you know what, as silly as I am on here, I am ready to step up and show that trans people, we’re not going anywhere and that trans kids, they deserve a fighting chance to be their true selves.”
“And y’all are obviously wondering what I’m gonna wear to meet the president,” Mulvaney continues. “Here you go: it’s the trans flag colors. Cute right?” The influencer has on powder blue pants, a white blouse, white heels, and a pink scarf.
Some of the video is focused on Mulvaney “looking for the president’s dog.” Upon encountering a portrait of former first lady Michelle Obama, the TikTok star said, “Our queen! Love you, I love you!”
The next segment shows Mulvaney after the meeting excitedly discussing a cookie the influencer received from Biden. Mulvaney said no clips from the actual interview will be shown until the Sunday airing but told fans that the conversation went very well.
“I can’t wait for you to hear everything that we talked about,” Mulvaney said. “I left with a lot of hope and optimism, not only for just trans people but for many different topics. And the fact that our president has watched ‘Days of Girlhood’ – it’s kind of epic.”
Mulvaney concluded by urging followers to vote in the upcoming election.
