The Trump administration’s “Promises Made, Promises Kept” tally is about to tick up by one with the imminent release of the JFK files, something the president has long promised the American public he would do as a show of extreme government transparency. And he picked the perfect place to make the announcement: the foyer of the Kennedy Center.
Trump, who recently appointed himself the chairman of the center’s board of trustees, was touring the Kennedy Center on Monday afternoon when he stopped to talk to the media, first noting that the building was in some disrepair before announcing the release of the much-awaited files.
