Trump Attempted Assassination Photos, Including One Showing a Streaking Bullet, Win Pulitzer Prize – RedState

Doug Mills of The New York Times has been awarded the prestigious Pulitzer Prize in the ‘Breaking News Photography’ category for his haunting images of the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, this past summer.





Mills was able to capture photographic evidence of a bullet streaking towards Trump a fraction of a second before it pierced his ear.

The Pulitzer Prize board spotlighted the Times photographer’s efforts with his “winning sequence of photos of the attempted assassination of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.”

“The photo shows a bullet streaking past Trump’s head, an extraordinary image that captured the precise moment of danger on perhaps the most dramatic day of an extraordinary political year,” the board writes.
