Over the past few days, a lot of attention has been drawn to the shadow government that was the US Agency for International Development. I’ll spare you all the background details, but revelations driven by Elon Musk’s DOGE team are rocking official Washington. The high points would be that USAID bankrolled a network of mostly progressive non-profits who made subgrants to push leftist and Marxist ideology despite it not being the policy of the US government to do that.
