Trump Locks Up GOP Nomination After Racking Up 4 More Primary Victories

Former President Donald Trump locked up the Republican presidential nod on Tuesday after winning four more primaries, giving him enough delegates to become the presumptive nominee. 

Trump’s primary victories in Georgia, Mississippi, Hawaii, and Washington pushed him to 1,241 delegates, more than the 1,215 needed to earn the nomination. President Joe Biden also locked up the Democratic nomination, setting up a rematch for the 2024 presidential race. 

In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said it was an “honor” to be representing the GOP and attacked Biden over the border crisis, inflation, and economy. 

“It is my great honor to be representing the Republican Party as its Presidential Nominee. Our Party is UNITED and STRONG, and fully understands that we are running against the Worst, Most Incompetent, Corrupt, and Destructive President in the History of the United States,”…
