As RedState reported on Sunday, leftists across the fruited plain melted down in histrionic fits of indignation after an AI-generated image of President Donald Trump as pope found its way onto the president’s official Truth Social page after it had been floating around on social media for a couple of days.
The AI image depicts Trump wearing a traditional Catholic mitre, cross, and white cassock, as the College of Cardinals gets ready to elect a new Holy Father following the death of Pope Francis in April.
The image, which was also shared by the official White House X account, sparked some outrage in the Catholic community, with priests commenting about how the post is disrespectful.
