Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump revealed on Friday that two major donors and two of his sons will lead his transition team if he wins a second term in the White House.
Trump tapped former Small Business Administration (SBA) head Linda McMahon and businessman Howard Lutnick to lead the transition team. Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), and his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, will serve as “honorary chairs” of the team, The Hill reported.
“The 2024 GOP Platform to Make America Great Again is a forward-looking agenda that will deliver safety, prosperity and freedom for the American people. My administration will deliver on these bold promises,” Trump said in a statement. “We will restore strength, competence and common sense to the Oval Office. I have absolute confidence the Trump-Vance Administration will be ready to govern effectively on Day One.”
