President-elect Donald Trump ripped FBI Director Christopher Wray over the weekend during an interview while discussing his new nominee for the role, Kash Patel.
Trump made the remarks during an interview that aired Sunday on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” with Kristen Welker.
Trump said that Patel is “going to do what he thinks is right” and that he supports Patel going after anyone who is a “crooked or a corrupt politician.” He added that he does not expect Patel to go after his political enemies.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: If they think that somebody was dishonest or crooked or a corrupt politician, then I think [Kash Patel] has an obligation to investigate it.
