New Jersey native Edan Alexander, the last American hostage held by Hamas in Gaza, was finally freed earlier this week on May 12.
There are still 58 other hostages being held by Hamas.
His mother, father, sister, and brother joyfully reunited with him after he was rescued.

It was a very affecting event, getting him out to safety. President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff had been instrumental in the effort. Witkoff was so touched by Edan that he gave him a necklace that belonged to his son. The son died at a young age and Witkoff had worn it for many years in his honor.
